“I love wildflowers, and thought I knew a lot about them until I started walking a lot more several years ago. I began to really take notice when sketching the plants in the hedgerows and woodlands of my surrounding countryside. This quilt was inspired by those lovely walks xo.”
Botanical Embroideries: There are 25 different botanical embroideries in total, featuring wildflowers and some butterflies and insects too! Each embroidery is framed with a beautiful EPP border. Learn new skills, or develop existing ones; we provide instructions for embroidery stitches, including satin, daisy chain, French knots and many more.
Varied techniques: This lovely heirloom quilt combines embroidery for the beautiful botanical designs, English Paper Piecing for the surrounding rings, appliqué, and simple patchwork to bring it all together. Learn new skills, or develop existing ones – they are all surprisingly easy to learn!
Unique Design: Alice's quilt is completely unique. She was inspired as a child by watching her grandmother and mum sew with Liberty fabric and create beautiful embroidery. She's combined these techniques in this stunning quilt. Each botanical scene has been carefully crafted by Alice and is inspired by the English countryside.
