Dreamy Flight is a charming aviation-inspired cotton fabric designed by French surface pattern designer and illustrator Amelie Broddes in collaboration with Deco Collections.
Classic aeroplanes and biplanes soar across a soft smoky blue background in rich red, turquoise and navy. Hand-drawn clouds, tiny birds and subtle sky details are scattered between the aircraft, giving the design a wonderful sense of movement.
There’s a lovely nostalgic quality to the vintage-style planes, balanced by the fresh colour palette and clean, spacious design. It’s playful enough for children’s sewing while having a more sophisticated feel that will appeal to aviation enthusiasts of all ages.
For quilting and patchwork, Dreamy Flight is a fantastic novelty print. If machine washing is your preferred method, we suggest using a mild, bleach-free detergent (like Soak) in cold water with similar colours on a gentle cycle. Dry on a low-heat tumble setting to minimise shrinkage.
