Le Ciel - Cross Stitch Floral by Handworks
 
Le Ciel by Handworks has all the charm of a treasured piece of vintage needlework, translated into fabric.
 
Tiny florals in soft red, dusty blue and muted green are scattered across a natural linen-look background, accompanied by delicate alphabet characters. Look closely and the motifs are cleverly printed to resemble individual cross stitches, giving the fabric the appearance of hand-worked embroidery.
 
Woven from 85% cotton and 15% linen, Le Ciel has a little more texture and body than a standard quilting cotton while remaining beautifully versatile. At 148gsm, it’s a lovely choice when you want the natural character of linen with the ease and softness of cotton.
 
The small-scale design makes this particularly appealing for zipper pouches and bags - those tiny cross-stitched details will still be visible when the fabric is cut into smaller pieces. It would also make beautiful project bags, needle books, sewing accessories, cushion covers and other projects with a vintage-inspired feel.
