Mandarin Rose - Cotton Fabric
Mandarin Rose is a delicate floral cotton fabric inspired by a field of tiny roses discovered on a picnic through the forest.
Miniature roses in a beautiful dusky orange are scattered across a very light cream background, accompanied by fine stems and foliage. The restrained colour palette and petite scale give the design a soft, slightly nostalgic quality - floral and pretty without feeling overly sweet.
For quilting and patchwork, Mandarin Rose is a wonderfully versatile small-scale print. The pale cream ground allows it to sit comfortably alongside low-volume fabrics, while the warm orange flowers introduce just enough colour to give individual patchwork pieces definition. It would be beautiful paired with earthy greens, warm neutrals, soft pinks or deeper rust and terracotta tones.

Sublime Stitchery always recommends handwashing with mild, bleach-free detergent, like Soak and hang-dry all cotton fabrics for best results. If machine washing is your preferred method, we suggest using a mild, bleach-free detergent (like Soak) in cold water with similar colours on a gentle cycle. Dry on a low-heat tumble setting to minimise shrinkage.
